Amanda Wyss

1980s icon Amanda Wyss appeared in some of the best-remembered films of the decade. In 1982, she made her big screen debut in the Sean Penn stoner comedy "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," playing sweetheart to Judge Reinhold's character. Wyss' next major role came as an ill-fated student in Wes Craven's slasher classic, "A Nightmare on Elm Street," and in 1985 she famously dumped heartthrob John Cusack in the teen comedy "Better Off Dead. ." Padding her schedule with regular appearances on TV, Wyss also guest-starred on two episodes of the iconic barroom sitcom "Cheers." At the tail end of the decade, she co-starred in the acclaimed Native American road flick "Powwow Highway" before making a gradual transition to full-time TV work in the early '90s. Wyss enjoyed a seven-episode stint on "Highlander"'s first season as intrepid reporter Randi McFarland, and appeared several times on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." Showcasing her diverse range, Wyss has also taken on hospital procedurals like "ER," outlandish comedies like "The Drew Carey Show," and macabre dramas like "Dexter." Wyss returned to the big screen in the mid 2000s, and garnered a supporting role in the Sean Patrick Flanery-Joe Pantoliano actioner "Deadly Impact" in 2010.
