Alexandra Socha
Alexandra Socha was born in Nashua, New Hampshire, and spent her childhood performing alongside her parents in regional community theater shows. After completing her junior year of high school, Socha made her debut on Broadway in "Spring Awakening" as an ensemble member and an understudy for several of the female cast members. In spring 2008, Socha took over the role of Wendla from actress Lea Michele. She also finished high school during that period, taking a home study course in time to graduate from Nashua High School in 2008. Socha followed up this impressive debut with a role in the revival of "Brighton Beach Memoirs" in October 2009 and at the Yale Repertory Theater in "We Have Always Lived in the Castle," a musical based on Shirley Jackson's novel. Socha joined the cast of "Fun Home" in December 2013, originating the role of Middle Alison in the show's official Off-Broadway premiere. Socha has worked in television as well as theater. She was featured in the series "The Big C" (Showtime 2010-13), starring Laura Linney, and made guest appearances on a variety of other shows including "Made in Jersey" (CBS 2012), "Royal Pains" (USA 2009-16), "Red Oaks" (Amazon 2015-), "Damages" (FX 2007-2012) and "Law and Order: SVU" (NBC 1999-).
