Al Santos

An appealing New York native, Al Santos moved from his Long Island home to big city life in Manhattan at age 16 in pursuit of a modeling career, With his athletic build and features that were at once striking and boy-next-door, Santos landed a contract with Ford Modeling Agency, and was put to good use in transatlantic campaigns for famed European designers Versace, Armani and Valentino as well as all-American brands Levi's and Abercrombie & Fitch. Tired of the model life, he enrolled in Hunter College's pre-med program and began to seriously study acting. His determination led to a starring role on "Grosse Pointe" (The WB, 2000-01), an edgy sitcom set behind-the-scenes of a teen primetime soap not unlike "Beverly Hills, 90210." Santos excelled as the vacuous but harmless surfer boy-turned-"actor" Johnny Bishop, displaying the looks and an innocent spirit perfect for the role of the oblivious teen dream whose face and physique not only starts the hearts of his many fans, but has earned him the unrequited attention of his awkward co-star Marcy (Lindsey Sloane) and gawking TV dad (Michael Hitchcock).
