Aislinn Paul
Though TV viewers in the United States knew her mainly as Phoebe, the shadowmancer from "Heroes Reborn" (NBC, 2015-16), fans in Aislinn Paul's native Canada remembered her for her memorable role as Clare on the long-running series "Degrassi: The Next Generation" (CTV, 2001-2015). Born in Toronto, Paul's parents Deborah Tennant and Brian Paul were both actors, lending her a helpful amount of inside knowledge when she caught the acting bug herself. She made her first TV appearance at the age of just six on an episode of "The Famous Jett Jackson" (Disney Channel, 1998-2001). Toronto's active entertainment industry made it easy for Paul to continue working professionally while remaining in school, and she would spend the next several years appearing in projects like the TV movie "Sister Mary Explains It All" (Showtime, 2001), starring Diane Keaton, and co-starring on the series "Wild Card" (Lifetime, 2003-05). She quickly followed this with a recurring role on the HBO series "Tell Me You Love Me" (HBO, 2007-08), which enabled the then-12 year old actor to expand her horizons, moving to Los Angeles for four months during shooting. After appearing in a handful of other projects such as "Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars" (Disney Channel, 2010), Paul landed her role on "Heroes: Reborn" in 2015. After the show wrapped the following year, Paul joined the cast of the Hulu series "Freakish" (Hulu, 2016-).
