Versailles Gardens and Park

In 1661, Louis XIV considered the gardens of Versailles just as important as the palace. He then decided to hire André Le Nôtre to developed and extend the gardens, a l task that lasted 40 years. And beyond the garden lays the park that surrounds the estate of Versailles, covering approximately 800 hectares.
