Until They're Gone
Bill and Jill Morse, moved by the work of Aki Ra, a former Khmer Rouge child soldier turned deminer in Cambodia, left behind a comfortable retirement in Palm Springs, California to found Landmine Relief Fund. They live, work, and plan to stay in Cambodia for the rest of their lives. It is a personal story about taking responsibility for cleaning up the debris of war, a story that plays out against the ticking clock of children and farmers being killed by landmines left from a war that's been over for decades. But out of those dark days, a path ahead emerges. The film is ultimately about hope for the future, and about the people working to make it happen.
