When introverted and solitary Yolanda meets Billy, an American convict, through a prisoner pen-pal website, she falls madly in love. No man has ever been more open with her, wanting to know her, understand her, help her. But he is behind bars, and they can communicate only through the letters they send each other. From the outside, it is difficult to imagine how one could fall in love with someone serving a sentence for such a heinous crime. Yet the love between the two seems unconditional, even as the extent of Billy's criminal life is chillingly revealed.
