Triangle: Remembering the Fire
On March 25, 1911, a catastrophic fire at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory in New York City killed 146 workers, most of them young women and teenage girls. Trapped within the locked upper floors of a ten-story skyscraper, workers were either killed by flames and smoke, or jumped to their deaths to escape an inferno that consumed the factory in just 18 minutes. This documentary recounts the worst industrial accident in NYC history and the widespread reforms and modern labor movement that arrived in its tragic wake.
