Inspired by a true story, set in 1979 Soviet Kazakhstan, Sher joins a task force led by investigator Snegirev. Faced with the USSR's first cannibalistic serial killer, targeting women, Sher's internship starts. As new victims emerge and the investigation stalls, Sher's own sister becomes a potential victim. The stakes intensify as the search for the killer reaches a critical point.
