This Old Cub: The Ron Santo Story

There's plenty of fight left in This Old Cub... a documentary about former All Star third baseman, broadcaster and Chicago Cubs legend Ron Santo, and his lifelong battle as the first major league baseball player to play the game with Type One juvenile diabetes. He played most of his career (1960-74) without revealing his disease for fear that he would be forced to retire from baseball. This Old Cub captures the spirit of a man and his will to achieve, a player and broadcaster who yearned for a World Series championship and longed for his acceptance into baseball's Hall of Fame.
