The Town That Dreaded Sundown

Based on a terrifying true story, The Town That Dreaded Sundown picks up sixty-five years after a masked serial killer terrorized the small town of Texarkana, when the "moonlight murders” begin again. Is it a copycat or something even more sinister? A lonely high school girl, with dark secrets of her own, may be the key to catching the murderer. Directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (“American Horror Story”), the screenplay is by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (“Carrie”), based on the 1976 cult classic film of the same title directed by Charles B. Pierce and is produced by Blumhouse Productions’ Jason Blum (“The Paranormal Activity” franchise) and Ryan Murphy (“American Horror Story”). The film stars Addison Timlin (“Californication”), newcomer Travis Tope , Gary Cole (“Office Space”), Joshua Leonard (“The Blair Witch Project”) and Veronica Cartwright (“The Birds”).
