How do the populations along the Old Silk Route live today? How do they cope with wars and nature harshness? To explore this forgotten humanity a small group of filmmakers are crossing with skis during the Winter the main mountain chains along this historic trade way. After Turkey, Iran and Afghanistan next winter they will ski along the Tien Shan Mountains (Kirgyzstan-China). The Silk Snow shows this unique adventure and an incredible series of human encounters.
