The Silent Saint

San Felice da Nicosia, the son of a poor family, struggled mightily to be admitted to the Capuchin friars, who had originally rejected him for being illiterate. After seven years, with thanks to the help of the provincial father of Messina, he succeeded in his aim. Dedicated to prayer and care for the needy, he is credited with healings that know the miraculous.
