The Secret Policeman's Ball

The return of the Secret Policeman’s Ball came as the climax of Amnesty International’s 50th anniversary celebrations - the perfect way to mark this event celebrating the right to free speech. Filmed at New York’s Radio City Music Hall earlier this year, The Secret Policeman’s Ball features some of the greatest talent from the worlds of comedy and music, all under one roof. Standout performances come from Russell Brand, Eddie Izzard, Jon Stewart, Reggie Watts, Jack Whitehall, Noel Fielding, Sarah Silverman, with music from Mumford & Sons and an emphatic end to the special night from Coldplay. In keeping with the anarchic fare of the original Secret Policeman’s Balls, it wouldn’t be the same without the help of the Monty Python team. So keep an eye out for special appearances from Terry Jones, Eric Idle and Michael Palin… plus an exclusive, tailor-made, interruption from Robert De Niro.
