The Nightingale of Tibet

Tibetan opera singer Yiga Gyalnang is abducted and thrown into Drapchi, one of the most dreaded prisons in Tibet, for what the Chinese government see as rebellion through her songs of freedom and expression. After years of isolation and torture, she breaks free and escapes to Nepal and then the West, taking with her an unbroken soul, tremendous strength and her voice that could never be silenced.
