From this point onwards, the heavy burden of the succession would become his to bear. Despite being granted ‘Defender of the Faith’, Henry would soon turn the country upside down and change history forever on his personal quest to fufil his desire to father a legitimate male heir. This path of Love and death would quickly lead to several failed marriages. It’s hard to discern the man from the myth. But it's easy to see that Henry VIII has become the most infamous English King, and is remembered half a millennium later for his romantic passion and his tyrannous rule.
