The Legend of Bhagat Singh
The Legend of Bhagat Singh is a biopic of Bhagat Singh (Ajay Devgan), one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement. A young Bhagat, having witnessed the atrocities of Jallianwala Bagh grows up with hatred in his heart for the British and joins a party lead by Chandrashekar Azad (Akilendra Mishra) along with his friends Rajguru (D. Santosh) and Sukhdev (Sushant Singh). The movie depicts many defining moments of his life like his imprisonment for hurling bombs at the National Assembly chamber, the torture he is put through in jail, the hunger strike he and his comrades participate to fight injustice to prisoners. The movie showcases how Bhagat Singh's untimely execution gave him a mass following in India and forced the congress to be aggressive in their stance thus accelerating the pace of the independence movement.
