The Flesh and the Fiends

Respectable 19th-century Edinburgh professor, Dr. Knox (Peter Cushing), needs fresh cadavers in order to continue his crucial research. Since the exhuming of bodies for medical purposes is illegal, he must rely upon grave-robbers for his corpse supply. What he doesn't know is that these body-snatchers, William Hare and William Burke, have begun supplementing their inventory by "creating" their own corpses. When a colleague grows suspicious, and students start to fall prey, Knox realizes that he has been implicitly participating in something far worse than imagined.
