In the midst of dropping out of college and coming out as a gay man, Joe decides as an experiment to record his everyday activities, from the mundane to the most intimate, on a handheld mini-video camera and post the clips on the internet as "Famous Joe." A fiction film told in the style of a documentary, THE FAMOUS JOE PROJECT uses Joe's own footage as well as interviews with his friends, family, and lovers to tell a profoundly intimate coming-of-age story that is by turns funny, sexy, heartbreaking and inspiring. Famous Joe's project tests the limits of what the camera can capture and the soul can express.
