The Empire of Corpses
By the 19th century, people master the "corpse reanimation technology," using corpses as labor power in every aspect of their lives. To fulfill a promise to his friend, London medical student John H. Watson illegally resurrects his dead friend, whom he renames Friday. Watson's illegal behavior is later caught by M, the chief of British Secret service. However, Watson's obsession with corpse technology impresses M; they make a deal and Watson therefore becomes an agent of the British Empire. His task is to find Dr. Victor Frankenstein's missing "note." It is said that Victor's supreme technology to create his original living corpse, The One, who has will and can speak just like humans, is on the "note".
