The Dancer
India Frye is arguably the best dancer in all of New York. She also happens to be deaf. At the local club Unicorn, she blows everyone away with her weekly demonstration of dancing skills. India doesn't have a discernible voice, but she finds peace in the hypnotic beats of the drum and bass in the world of the underground, where dance is their only form of expression. After finishing a day of teaching dance lessons to kids, India makes her way to the club. That night an admiring scientist learns of India's condition, and he sets out to help her overcome her obstacles by using an ultrasound device to help her speak. With her new "voice" India sets out to realize her dream of performing on a Broadway stage.
