The Air War in Color

This Academy award winning documentary presents life aboard American aircraft carrier USS Yorktown, operating in the Pacific theater during World War II. Filmed in color and incorporating the inventive use of gun-mounted cameras, the production depicts both the daily routines of those on the massive ship and the intensity of aerial and naval conflict in a number of battles.
