Snow Patrol - Live At Somerset House - August 8th 2004
Available on Qello Concerts, Prime Video
Scottish alt-rockers Snow Patrol are captured live during a memorable August 2004 performance at London's famous Somerset House. For stateside fans unable to make it to the show in person, this energetic and captivating release is the next best thing. At one point in this show, lead singer Gary Lightbody, is taken aback as he goes to sing the chorus of “Run” and the entire audience – perfectly - takes over the words. This incredible concert was filmed two years before the hit song “Chasing Cars,” catapulted the Patrollers to worldwide fame. So you’re getting older songs mostly from their third album, and earlier. They perform a perfect blend of beautiful songs like “How to be Dead,” “An Olive Grove facing the Sea,” “Same,” and songs that just rock the hell out like “Ways and Means,” “Somewhere a Clock is Ticking,” “Black and Blue.” And with a full orchestra on stage, it’s a can't-miss.
