Based loosely on actual events – a troubled teenage girl, Stacy Cooper, explores a spirit board app, ‘Shall We Play?’ after awakening to disturbing dreams, involving two sisters and her adoring Grandma Betty. In an attempt to seek normality, Stacy invites her friends over to her house, who convince her to access the very same app she has secretly been playing with. Spooky events occur, and she falls intoxicated, leaving her vulnerable to a local crush and his friends, who take advantage. Agitated and alone, Stacy begs her friends to help her, convincing them once more to play the game. The app consumes her as Stacy is confronted by the spirits of the sisters, causing her to violently lose control. A local psychologist attempts to uncover the truth, along with her parents, only to unearth a chilling discovery linking the family together and unknowingly, revealing Stacy’s fate.
