Relative Control

Sara Jones, played by Teri Polo (Meet the Parents trilogy), is a middle-aged lawyer eager for prominence in her male dominated law firm. She’s hired to defend a client against a hostile corporate takeover. Could this be the case that earns Sara the recognition she deserves? An aggressive corporate raider, an over-eager junior partner, and the client’s subversive employee -- all stand in Sara’s way. Meanwhile Sara’s handful of an ex-cop father, Joe, slips and falls once too often, prompting Sara to move her parents to a retirement community to prevent him from accidentally killing himself. But family challenges stage their own hostile takeover of Sara's life – her parents’ termite-ridden house, a mentally foggy mother, an unemployed son, and Joe’s insistence on doing things his way - confront her. Ultimately the competing demands of family and work take their toll, triggering a cascade of events that force her to reexamine her closest relationships and, more importantly, herself.
