Red Riding: 1974
In the remarkable Red Riding – 1974, rising British actor Andrew Garfield (Boy A) stars as rookie journalist Eddie Dunford who investigates a series of child abductions and murders in Yorkshire, England, and comes to the terrifying conclusion that there’s a link between these crimes and the rich and powerful of Yorkshire society. Directed by Julian Jarrold (Brideshead Revisited) and based on the acclaimed novel by David Peace that draws on the all too real crimes of the Yorkshire Ripper, Red Riding – 1974 stands brilliantly on its own but is also one of three films in the Red Riding Trilogy hailed by critics around the world as the movie event of the year.
