Randy Newman: Live In London
While touring in support of his 2008 album Harps and Angels, Randy Newman performed a special concert with the BBC Concert Orchestra led by conductor Robert Ziegler at London's intimate LSO St. Luke's, a newly restored 18th- entury church. Later televised by the BBC and now available for the first time on CD+DVD as Live in London, the program features 22 songs from throughout Newman's career-from classics like "Short People," "Louisiana 1927," and "I Think It's Going to Rain Today" to newer favorites like "A Few Words in Defense of Our Country" and "Laugh and Be Happy"-as well as an interview from the BBC broadcast. Time Out London calls it "essential viewing for fans."
