Queen of Many Colours
Queen Elizabeth II - an icon of our times. In her 70 year reign, the Queen has witnessed enormous social, cultural and technological change. The new Elizabethan era has seen some of the greatest changes and developments in human history. Her reign, a cornerstone to these extraordinary times. Portrayed in films, artwork, photography and more, the image of Queen Elizabeth has become a recognised and beloved icon that has defined an era. Her polished and perfected image, where we never quite get a glimpse of the real Elizabeth, has allowed her to maintain a sense of grandeur and majesty, whilst becoming a more modern monarch who is universally accepted and loved. Over almost a century, we have watched her style evolve from fairytale princess to formal Queen. Whilst she must remain unbiased, and cannot offer her opinions, what she wears and how she looks provides a way for her to communicate her thoughts and feelings, be that through colour or accessories.
