Jack Watson is a struggling detective with the LAPD. He suffers from paralyzing night terrors due to his experience as an infantryman during the war in Afghanistan. Jack's clearance rate is hovering at an all-time low, much like his life. Jack's overly eccentric sixty-seven-year-old police captain, Gardner, has assigned him to a new detail.
