Pope Francis - A Pope for Everyone
Jorge Mario Bergoglio is the first Jesuit Cardinal and Latin American to be consecrated Pope of the Catholic Church. On March 13, 2013, the then Archbishop of Buenos Aires and now Pope Francis made history by being elected to replace Benedict, who stepped down in abdication. In his first address as Pope, Francis humbly asked: "And now let us begin this journey, Bishop and people. A path of brotherhood in love, of mutual trust. Pray for us always, and for one another. Let us pray for the whole world, that there might be a great sense of brotherhood. And now I would give the blessing, but first I want to ask you a favor. Before the Bishop blesses the people, I ask that you pray for the Lord to bless me. The prayer of the people for their Bishop. Let us say this prayer - your prayer for me - in silence". In this important work is a documentary that exposes the keen thinking and humility that guides the life of Francis, his simple lifestyle close to the village, and his deep knowledge of theology. With these qualities Bergoglio has earned the trust and sympathy not only of the faithful, but also of much of the public. These remarkable attributes trace the path to his consecration as our Pope. This documentary shows the particular style of Bergoglio, his years as head of the Catholic Church in Argentina, and aimed at the construction of a new age of religion for the world. After his consecration and since the early days, Pope Francisco shows a clear intent to drive the structure of the Catholic Church with an austere attitude, with strong social concern and a clear intention to promote a new relationship between man and God.
