Sala's parents are looking for a worthy husband for her. She is impressed by Natesan's joint family and decides to marry him. Sala, an only child loved the company of her relatives, however, Natesan feels that he doesn't get to spend alone time with his wife. He gets transferred to a distant hill-station and gets busy with work. Without neighbours, friends or family, loneliness grows on Sala and she is diagnosed with a psychological disorder.
