When a businessman is assassinated, the assassin Mohan Joshi is arrested, but manages to escape days later. Joshi meets Ajay Bakshi and Ria Bannerjee, two rival news-reporters and tells them the truth. When Ajay and Ria learn the truth, they come together to help this common man and solicit the help of a softhearted underworld Don, Pappu Junior. Later, Joshi is put into prison and sentenced to death. A tearful Ajay Bakshi exhorts the citizens of the city to join him in his march to the jail. As he draws closer to the venue, he sees an entire army of citizens behind him and they peacefully manage to save Mohan Joshi from the gallows.
