NFL Films: The Ice Bowl
Highly regarded as one of the greatest games in NFL history, The Ice Bowl was in danger of being lost forever due to the lack of any network videotape footage. Luckily for football fans everywhere, NFL Films has carefully reconstructed the game and all its subplots from start to finish. Utilizing thousands of feet of catalogued film, “The Ice Bowl” tells the epic story of the 1967 NFL Championship game between the Dallas Cowboys vs. the Green Bay Packers. Held under freezing conditions on New Year’s Eve 1967 at the legendary Lambeau Field, the game saw a rematch of the 1966 NFL title game, with The Packers standing to win a record breaking third consecutive World Championship. With two future Hall of Fame coaches pitted against each other, Tom Landry for the Cowboys and Vince Lombardi for the Packers, the field was set for an historic showdown.
