My Ireland
Anthony Monaghan is from the beautiful West of Ireland. Due to the poor economy, he had to leave home at the age of fifteen in search of work abroad. After many hard years, he found success in America and earned enough to buy a house back in Ireland. Nonetheless, he was evicted and, once again, did not have a home in his homeland. Now, he is going back in search of answers. He travels the country and talks to Irish people from all walks of life, from a homeless Dubliner to John McGuinness of the Irish Parliament. My Ireland exposes the corruption behind the displacement of thousands of Irish people through economic migration, wrongful evictions, and the homeless crisis. It tells a story shared by countless men and women who, like Monaghan, lost their homes in Ireland.
