When a veteran Washington D.C. police detective (Wesley Snipes) is called in to investigate the murder of a woman at the White House, he uncovers a complex and deadly web of corruption and deceit. With the help of a reluctant Secret Service agent (Diane Lane), he struggles to stop the killer from carrying out a plot that will affect the entire country.
