The series Masters of Classical Music allows the listener to experience and enjoy great music from the Baroque period up to the present day in an entirely new way, offering a combination of documentary material and a complete performance of the featured work. This episode features a live-recording of Mozart’s “Jupiter Symphony” from the Konzerthaus Berlin, with the Kammerorchester C.P.E. Bach and its musical director Hartmut Haenchen who is also the host of the accompanying documentary. Mozart’s Symphony No. 41 was composed in 1788 and is widely regarded as the epitome of the classical symphonic form.
