Mario - A Bands & Brews Session

Last Fall we moved our Bands + Brews Sessions from their industrial summer home in Sunset Park into the warm and inviting Brooklyn venue, The Bell House. Rapper OnCue, pop singer Kayla Brianna, and R&B superstar, Mario set the 100% SOLD OUT space ablaze with intimate and wonderfully unique performances. Closing out the Bands + Brews that evening, R&B legend Mario brought some serious heat to the stage. Set to return from a 7-year hiatus with his fifth studio album, Paradise Cove, later this year, things got seriously steamy...just in time for Valentines Day, no less. If his forthcoming album is anything like this performance, expect some of the most unique, vulnerable, and unrestrained material to date. Here Mario croons to his adoring fans, weaving emotional new tracks like "Let Me Help You" with past hits like "Let Me Love You," "Break Up" and "How Do I Breathe?". Yes, the art of seduction is pulsing through this concert. As his set went on, he would end up shirtless and grabbing the arms of all the googly-eyed women in the crowd. I think the kids call this "Lit", yes? Either way, give it a spin...although you may need a splash of cold water to the face after seeing this one.
