The documentary Manlife follows Merle Hayden who for 80 years dedicated his life to crusading for the Utopian cult "Lawsonomy" and preserving the legacy of its leader, aircraft pioneer Alfred Lawson. Merle reconnects with his high school sweetheart, Betty Kasch, whom he left to join "Lawsonomy." Reunited, Betty wishes Merle instead would devote himself to her.
