Man of Will
In 1895, Japanese assassins infiltrate the palace of Joseon and brutally murder the Empress, leaving the nation with resentment and terror. In revenge, a young man named Chang-soo Kim kills an armed Japanese ronin and later gets thrown in prison with the death sentence. Plunged into despair, he fights with the other prisoners, whom he looks down upon, until he finds out that most of them have been wrongly convicted due to being impoverished and uneducated. He begins to teach them how to read and write so that they could clear their false charges, and gradually becomes the hope inside the prison. But one day, Chang-soo and his fellows get assigned to a large Japanese construction site where an ordeal worse than death awaits.
