Love on the Right Course
Available on Hallmark+, Prime Video, Sling TV
Whitney is competing in a large tournament where she struggles to barely make the cut to qualify for her next tournament, the East European Open. Frustrated with her losing streak, her long-time caddie and occasional coach, Andrew, quits. Concerned she might not be able to continue competing on a professional level, she returns to the family-owned golf course in Hungary to reevaluate her career and spend the summer with her widowed father, Marton. When she gets home, she realizes she is not the only one who is at a crossroads. Her father, after losing his wife Alice two years prior, has become a bit of a recluse. He is doing okay but has shut himself off from his friends and has passed the day-to-day operations of the family golf club over to his new golf pro, Daniel. Daniel is laid back and has a teaching style that is completely at odds with Whitney. This throws her off initially but as Whitney gets to know him, she rediscovers the joy she once had in the sport and a romance soon begins to develop. Everything looks as if it’s going in the right direction until Andrew, her old caddie, arrives on the scene in Budapest and insists because he has already been her caddie for seven years, he should be the only caddie/trainer working with her for the Open. He openly objects to Daniel’s involvement. This leads to a misunderstanding with Daniel, who quickly decides to back away to avoid confusion and give Whitney a real chance to win the tournament. The decision backfires. Ultimately, Whitney loses patience with Andrew’s criticism and condescending comments. She fires him and walks off the course, ready to abandon the game and her future in competition. When Daniel hears about this, he steps up to be her caddie for the Open. Together they win the competition and also discover they have fallen in love.
