Detective Charlie Congers, chosen by the government to carry out a deadly assignment: to travel half way across the world and kidnap the beautiful mistress of an underworld czar. Congers, has an almost impossible mission - to convict the head of an organized crime network, Joe Bomposa. Many, including Charlie, are positive the one person who can help get Bomposa is Jackie Pruit, Bomposa’s former mistress. Getting her will not be easy as Bomposa’s men have hidden her in Switzerland. Congers eventually finds Jackie, and makes a daring escape. While guarding her with his life, a burning attraction smoulders between them. Bomposa’s men hunt down Jackie and Charlie, and the chase across Europe becomes frenzied. Charlie develops misgivings, even about his own employers, as the web of political intrigue, double cross and triple cross threatens to engulf him.
