KINK pulls back the curtain on Kink.com, the Internet's largest producer of BDSM pornography. In an enterprise known for its exploitative practices, Kink.com prides itself on an environment that is safe and consensual-though still likely to raise some eyebrows. A verite look at the San Francisco-based porn empire, director Christina Voros introduces us to a smart, sexy and driven group of individuals who are passionate about what they do. While British entrepreneur CEO Peter Acworth gives viewers a tour of the facilities-but only so far ("Sorry, we have a gang-bang going on down there," he says), Voros' camera meets first-time actors, weary of the pain being afflicted on them, and the caring talent coordinators and directors whose priorities include both titillation and compassion. Through its scenes of carefully orchestrated bondage and other fetishes, KINK aims to show that this most extreme version of sexuality isn't that extreme, after all.
