Hills of Home

In this fourth installment in the "Lassie" series, doctor William MacClure (Edmund Gwenn) takes on an apprentice, Tammas Milton (Tom Drake), a shepherd's son who dreams of attending medical school and eventually taking over MacClure's rural practice. MacClure also buys from Milton's father an unusually intelligent collie, Lassie, to help him on house calls in the river-studded Scottish highlands. When MacClure discovers his new dog is afraid of water, he must teach her to get over her fear.
