Henry Bolingbroke has been crowned King of England, but he faces a rebellion headed by the disillusioned Earl of Northumberland and his son. Henry's son Hal, the Prince of Wales, has taken to heavy drinking and petty theft in the company of depraved elderly knight Sir John Falstaff.
