Hanau
Uwe Boll‘s political thriller HANAU explores the night of the racist mass killing commited by Tobias R. in Hanau on February 19th, 2020. That night, he killed nine citizens, his mother and then himself. The film shows an intense psychogram of the culprit, focusing on the indoctrination and radicalization of the seemingly normal working man that went on for years. In words taken from the killer‘s manifesto, it becomes clear how he was a victim of fake news and suffered from serious psychological issues. That doesn‘t excuse the cruel murders, but it explains how things got out of control.
