Duchess of Idaho

Water ballet star Christine Duncan (Esther Williams) shares an apartment with her best friend Ellen Hallet (Paula Raymond), the love-struck secretary of railroad tycoon Douglas Morrison (John Lund). When Douglas once again breaks Ellen’s heart, Christine decides to get revenge by duping the businessman while on a trip to Sun Valley, Idaho. In the midst of conning Douglas, Christine meets and falls for bandleader Dick Layn (Van Johnson). A series of misunderstandings soon has the couples falling in and out of love.
