Dream of a Shadow

Spiros is one of the many new migrants from Greece that seek a new life in Australia. Crushed by the weight of a struggling country he flees from his problems including the unbearable challenge of getting married and starting a family with his girlfriend Nefeli. He decides to make a clean break and leaves her behind. He also leaves behind his family and friends. Things quickly go well for him, he even makes headlines as a hero. He easily finds employment in the world’s most livable city, Melbourne. He then finds a new love, Katerina, hoping she will make him forget Nefeli. He also embraces a great new cause, after his sponsor Nikita gets him involved in a global political movement by the Greek Diaspora that aims to rebuild Greece. In other words, his pyramid of needs is fully covered. Or is it? Nefeli isn't easy to forget. Katerina isn't easy to play games with. Neither is her family. And what does Nikita really want from him? Luckily for Spiros at the apex of said pyramid awaits a revolver pointing at his head. What better way to clear his thoughts?
