Daisy spends her days as a school librarian stuck in a rut and feeling pressure to settle down and start a family. When the school art teacher abruptly quits, Daisy takes it upon herself to step in, which leads her to question the true menaing of parenthood. When she meets the local photographer Jack Palmer at an exhibition, she begins to see a new future for herself.
