Chan Is Missing
CHAN IS MISSING, is the landmark debut feature film by Wayne Wang. The film concerns San Francisco cab drivers Jo and Steve searching the streets of Chinatown and questioning local characters in search of the mysterious eponymous character who ran off with their money. Shot in 16mm and made on a budget of $22,000, Wang’s debut feature was the first major American independent film by a Chinese-American.
