Randolph Scott and Pat O'Brien star as air force officers with very different ideas about how to train young fliers to be bomber pilots in Bombardier. World War II. With the United States caught in a life-or-death struggle with both Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany, men and machines are pushed to their very limits. Major Chick Davis (O'Brien) and Captain Buck Oliver (Scott) argue over how to teach their students. In a desperate bombing raid over Tokyo, one of the officers is proven to be right--at the cost of the life of a valiant Bombardier.
